After nearly 60 years in business, The Angus Group is finally retiring. I am the last one carrying the torch, and although I’ve been here for “only” 25 years, it’s now my turn to turn off the lights, close the door, and bring this remarkable chapter to a close.

 

What an incredible journey it has been! The Angus Group was never just about recruiting or executive search. It was about wonderful people, meaningful relationships, shared successes, and amazing outcomes. And, of course, plenty of fun along the way!

 

I actually retired last year, so you might reasonably ask, “Why didn’t you close things down then?” Fair question! Apparently, after four decades in this business, old habits really do die hard. There’s always “just one more call,” one more conversation, or one more opportunity to help someone connect with the right person. But now, I have to admit, it’s time. Past time. Way past time!

 

Before I hang up the phone for the last time, I want to say thank you. Thank you for your business, your trust, your friendship, and the many relationships that made this journey so rewarding. On behalf of everyone who has been part of The Angus Group over these nearly 60 years, we are profoundly grateful for the confidence you placed in us. Being part of your professional journeys and successes has been a privilege and an honor.

 

As this chapter comes to a close, I do so with a full heart, wonderful memories, and deep appreciation for all the people who made it possible.

 

Thank you for being part of the journey. It has truly been an honor.
