Description:
Our client is a well established independent wealth advisory firm in search of an operations associate for their Trust Company. The operations associate will be an integral part of a team that provides estate and charitable gift planning, comprehensive private trust services, and executor and estate settlement services to high net worth clients as well as institutional customers.
The position incumbent will be working with a small team of operations staff who are seasoned veterans in the trust operations area. This is an outstanding position for an individual interested in building a career with a highly regarded Cincinnati wealth management firm. This firm has a stellar reputation for exceptional client service. The firm is also regarded as a premier employer in the city. Our client has very little turnover. They have a strong track record of hiring the “best and brightest” with the intent of training and promoting from within. In general, the Trust Operations Assistant will:
- Provide operation and technical support to the Trust Company for both individual and institutional accounts
- Work with the operations team members to insure that policies and procedures are established and followed so that audits by Ohio Division of Financial Institutions are favorable
- Answer and respond quickly to internal and external customer calls
- Assist in administering IRA’s for customers. Serve as an expert for IRA questions regarding opening accounts, managing beneficiaries, withdrawals, distributions as well as compliance issues relating to the latest Treasury Regulations and IRS/DOL pronouncements
- Work very independently on a variety of project assignments within the trust operations area
Qualifications:
- 4 year B.S. degree or equivalent trust operations work experience required.
- Prefer candidates who have served in a team lead role in past assignments
- Candidates must have at least 1-2 years work experience in the financial advisory arena, preferably in a position with back office or operations responsibilities.
- Candidates must be well versed in current investment policies and procedures in order to speak confidently and intelligently to firm clients.
- Candidates must be proactive, work intelligently with little supervision. Must be passionate about client service. Must be able to demonstrate success in a past work assignment that had very high demand for attention to detail in daily activities
- Candidates should be self taught regarding new investment regulations and investment product enhancements.
