My client, a fast growing company with multi-sit locations globally, is seeking a Director, Compensation and Benefits

 

As the Director, Compensation and Benefits you will provide leadership and expertise to the organization regarding compensation and benefits.

 

  • Develop strategic direction leading the design, implementation, communication, and administration of the compensation and benefits programs. 
  • Ensure that compensation and benefit programs maintain market competitiveness and support the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Oversee staff responsible for administration of Compensation and Benefits programs.
  • Administer Executive Compensation plans, including Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation (NQDC) Plan, and serve as primary contact and subject matter expert.
  • Maintain relationship with NQDC vendor to keep informed on legislation and plan updates.
  • Provide analysis on key compensation and benefits metrics, including monthly health and welfare spending, quarterly management bonus updates for purposes of accrual and other periodic ad-hoc reports.
  • Oversee annual audit process for 401(k) and Health/Welfare plans.
  • Approve both 5500 forms to IRS before submission.
  • Manage, coach and develop Compensation and Benefits Department Staff.
  • Directly manage Compensation and Benefits Analyst and Supervisor of Benefits Department.  Indirectly manage Compensation Administrator and 3 Benefits Specialists.
  • Manage departmental employee relations issues and write performance appraisals.

 

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation desirable.
  • 10 years progressively more responsible experience in Compensation and Benefits areas, including moderate benefits design experience, required.
  • Experience administering executive compensation plans desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and motivate staff
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills required
  • Strong analytical capabilities
