My client has an excellent opportunity for a Trade Marketing Manager - CPG.

 

As the Trade Marketing Manager you will Act as a direct intermediary between field sales and brand marketing to develop and deliver channel/customer plans designed to maximize volume, share and profit.  This is a hands-on; roll-up your sleeves position.

 

Responsibilities:

    

  Trade Development

  • Partner with sales, finance and marketing to develop and maintain pricing guidelines and monitor compliance.
  • Work with sales and finance to develop, execute, track and analyze trade fund spending and ROI.
  • Manage and track P&L statements for assigned channels and customers.

 

Customer Marketing

  • Lead the development of channel strategies and promotions with guidance from sales and marketing.
  • Lead the development of account-specific initiatives for focus accounts along with sales.

 

Sales Operations

  • Contribute to the development and communication of the national brand plan to field sales.
  • Coordinate the communication of new item launches, and brand and trade promotions to field sales, including samples, item specifications and display requirements.
  • Manage the promotional and display creation and forecasting process to ensure execution.

 

Category Development

  • Collect/develop and analyze sales reports (POS) and market feedback from internal sources, syndicated data and customer POS in order to identify key issues, trends, opportunities and market share growth/decline for use in marketing and sales planning purposes.
  • Develop fact-based selling tools to field sales.

 

Qualifications:

  • BA degree in business administration with a marketing emphasis. MBA preferred.
  • 8 years sales, customer marketing or category management experience with consumer packaged goods companies.
  • Significant knowledge of all channels of distribution.
  • Experience working with and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to manage and lead change within an organization.
