Description:
My client, a supplier of additives used in the plastics industry, is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to develop and strengthen personal relationships with customers and potential customers and manage customer interface in the territory. Provide for needed technical service or commercial support for customers within given sales territory, including monthly reports. Provide, through written reports, an ongoing history of each account or potential account in the sales territory. Provide market information as required.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve budget sales (dollars and volumes) by executing sales plan.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Provide technical customer assistance as required.
- Conduct and conclude negotiations with customers as directed.
- Develop sales plans for assigned territory including recommended accounts, product sales volumes, and pricing. The plan includes call allocation, and account potential analysis, and sales budgeting.
- Visit customers and potential customers routinely (six weeks or more often), such that strong relationships are formed.
- Manage all aspects of account interface.
- Maintain records such that continuity is maintained with customer.
- Provide information to division and company management such that company may provide adequate products and information for the future.
Requirements:
- Technical degree preferred but will consider candidates with technical sales experience to the plastics industry.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven sales success.
- Office is home based – NO RELO – candidate must be currently living in territory.
- This position is for a Road Warrior (4 day travel per week covering the territory).
- Will be calling on large accounts and distributors.
