Product Manager, Industrial

Location:  Cincinnati, OH

Salary: To $110,000 plus bonus

Description:

Our client is a highly successful and growth oriented industrial products manufacturer seeking a Product Manager for a high volume product line with revenue in excess of $150 million annually.  The product manager is responsible for day to day management of the product lines, determining profitability, pricing, determining market potential and managing product development initiatives.  This position will require constant interface with distributors, sales, manufacturing and supply chain to ensure that adequate product quantity and mix are available at market pricing. 

Specific responsibilities include:

• Support and coordinate sales efforts through establishing pricing and availability guidelines, providing / maintaining product technical information, coordinating communication programs with catalogues, brochures, promotions and trade shows.
• Manage day to day activities through margin, pricing and inventory analysis, respond to RFQ’s and coordinate cross-business teams to ensure appropriate planning and product availability.
• Lead marketing and product management activities, including new product development efforts.
• Participate in strategic plan development.
• Assess market size, growth, segmentation, competition and growth potential.
• Manage sales/pricing/inventory levels compared to plan and implement remedial action as required.
• Communicate frequently with sales and manufacturing to optimize customer service response.

Desired qualifications include:

• Bs in engineering, marketing or equivalent industrial marketing experience
• Two to five years equivalent background in a fast paced environment.
• Strong project management skills.
• Persistent in efforts to coordinate engineering, manufacturing and sales.
• Ability to demonstrate successful project leadership accomplishments.
