Description:
Our client is a well established company that offers process improvement consulting and training services to a wide variety of industries who may have government funding particularly in the manufacturing and technology fields. They have particular expertise in Lean Enterprise, Supplier Development, Strategic Procurement, and Clean Manufacturing.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ground floor opportunity to establish a new base of business in a 28 county territory based in Columbus
- Develop advisory relationships at the prospect C level and secondary sources to facilitate target market penetration
- Effectively develop leads and prospects within the business community by creating a high profile for networking and company promotion
- Conduct site visits to assess and identify prospect needs and opportunities
- Report sales activities and progress through the company’s Internet-based sales management software system
- Work with cross functional teams both internally and externally to win the business and then maintain a high level account management relationship with the client to ensure flawless project execution and future account expansion
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 5-7 years of successful sales experience opening new accounts and selling products or services to senior level managers in the manufacturing industry
- Ability to generate leads and effectively penetrate at the senior decision making level
- Knowledge / familiarity with manufacturing processes with technical experience or acumen
- Creative problem solver
- Excellent proven consultative selling and account management skills
- Leadership qualities to drive cross functional teams
- College degree or equivalent preferred particularly in engineering
- A take-charge individual who is well organized and manages to results without close supervision
- Established contact base in Columbus / Northern Ohio manufacturing industry
