Description:
Our client is looking for an executive level Corporate Communications professional; must be a top-level communications professional, as well as an outstanding personal communicator with the experience, stature and presence to become a trusted, highly valued advisor to the senior leadership team.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated skill and comfort in proactively building relationships with executives, employees and external audiences.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Providing strategic counsel to operating companies on all communications issues.
- Overseeing internal communications, external communications and community relations.
- Maintaining strategic oversight of internal communications, including executive-level messaging.
- Successfully leading and implementing strategic communications programs to help employees understand their role in supporting the company’s strategies.
- Working with business leaders to build results-oriented communications programs targeting specific audiences and objectives.
- Partnering effectively with communicators in the company’s divisions.
- Fostering understanding of brand identities and values.
- Actively driving continuous improvement in communications by incorporating feedback to improve processes and effectiveness of messaging.
- Creating and controlling dissemination of all external messaging.
- Managing relationships with trade and consumer media and designing and implementing proactive media campaigns.
- Establishing and maintaining effective community relation and corporate social responsibility programs.
A Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Public Relations or a similar field.
- Proven track record with 12-15 years corporate communications experience (agency experience a plus).
- Proven ability to provide strategic counsel to varied leadership styles and personalities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven experience developing messages for top executives.
- Ability to create, manage and execute strategic and tactical plans to achieve desired results.
- Strong influencing skills, with the ability to provide tactful, honest counsel.
- Track record of working effectively with senior leaders and business partners to achieve objectives and deliver on deadlines.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- Ability to identify and define clear priorities and still handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
